Accidental Renovations
Saturday was a fantastic day, after spending the night drooling at the Pearl Jam concert, we headed over to pick up the Natapillar from Dad's place, we headed over to SJ's brothers place for a traditional Fijian Lovo...drooooooool.
Now we arent Fijian, but one of his good mates is and lives in Melbourne while his folks live about 4 hours away near the border of VIC and NSW. Brother in law decided to throw a party for him at his place, and his friends parents were so excited that they went all out and did the full traditional spread...Even with Italian background I havent seen so much food at a party, and apparently they kept it 'small' :o!!! Meat cooked underground and seafood galore!!
I digress though......In their kitchen area they have lovely brown carpet squares layed over the top of quite nice lino (can anyone say rented Bachelor pad!), but there are a number that have come unstuck and were becoming quite dangerous and slippery based on the alcohol consumption that was going in. We decided to move the loose ones to the side and BIL's girlfriend decided that the lino looked better and removed a few more 'loose' ones. Then the Natapillar figured out what was going on and we ended up with this.....

The Natapillar doesnt actually have curly hair, but with her 'hard labour' and the stinking humidity in the house I ended up with a little curly tops!
Needless to say that before her uncle moves out of that place SJ and I will be around there gluing everything back down....along with his brothers girlfriend!!!!
